Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ApnaKhatta ("ApnaKhatta", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you visit https://apnakhatta.in or use the ApnaKhatta billing, inventory and multi-store management service (the "Service"). By using the website or the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you register we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name and password. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form using bcrypt; we cannot read them.
Business data you enter
When you use the Service you store business data such as stores, staff accounts, products, stock, purchases, suppliers, customers (including names, phone numbers, email addresses, GST numbers and addresses you choose to record) and bills. You own this data. We process it only to provide the Service to you.
Payment information
Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of the payment (such as the amount, date, plan and a payment reference) but we never receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or netbanking password.
Contact and demo requests
If you call, WhatsApp or email us, we use your name, phone number, email and the details you share only to respond to you.
Usage and device information
Like most websites, we and our analytics providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring pages, using cookies or similar technologies. See section 6.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- To process subscription payments and send related receipts and notices.
- To respond to support, contact and demo requests.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent misuse and enforce our Terms.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or your business data.
3. How your business data is kept private
Every request to the Service is checked on our servers so that one business can never access another business's data. Within your business, staff accounts can only access their own store and only the functions you permit. Logging out ends your sessions on all devices, and blocked users lose access immediately.
4. Sharing of information
We share information only with:
- Razorpay, to process payments;
- service providers that host and operate our infrastructure, analytics and communications on our behalf, under obligations of confidentiality;
- authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and business data for as long as your account exists. If your subscription expires, your data is not deleted, so you can renew and continue where you left off. You may ask us to delete your account and data by writing to support@apnakhatta.in; we will do so unless we are required by law to keep certain records.
6. Cookies and analytics
The Service uses cookies or similar storage to keep you signed in. Our website may use analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) to measure visits and the effectiveness of our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the Service may not work without them.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted passwords, server-side access checks and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact us using the details below.
9. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be notified on the website or by email.
